Je t’aime Saint Barthélemy.

St. Barthelemy (St. Barths) it’s my favorite island not only in the Caribbean, but in the whole world. I have been fortunate enough to go several times throughout the last few years, and its charm and enchanting vibe is undeniable. It all starts with Gustaf III Airport, one of the most unique airstrips in the world. Having limited access because of the shortness of the landing strip makes it already a difficult place to reach. Making this beautiful island a secluded and exclusive paradise.

The island is comprised of beautiful boutique hotels, over a dozen beaches, beach restaurants, designer boutiques, exquisite restaurants and breathtaking villas. I wanted to share with all of you a list of the places that you can’t miss while visiting St. Barths.

WHERE TO STAY

Cheval Blanc – St Barth – Isle de France

-Not long ago, the Maison was famed under the name of Hotel Saint-Barth-Isle de France. Historically recognized for its great attention to detail and impeccable service delivered by it’s amazing team. After being acquired by Cheval Blanc everything just got better! This iconic property set directly on the Flamands beach it’s by far my favorite place to stay when a villa is not an option.

Eden Rock

-One of the most iconic sights of the Island, the Eden Rock is a great place to stay because of its location, incredible beach and different options for dining. Definitely a great choice to stay during your visit.

WHERE TO EAT (AND PARTY…)

Le Case De L’Isle

-At Hotel Isle de France, Baie des Flamandes, The restaurant overlooks the Flamands bay and serves fusion food – the gazpacho it’s a must, and believe or not the bbq ribs are one of the best I have ever had!

Sand Bar

-Located at the Eden Rock hotel, the Sand Bar has a great ambiance and crowd. The food is fantastic and the views of the beach are mesmerizing. The menu has a great variety for everyone taste.

On the Rocks

-Also located at the Eden Rock, “On the Rocks” is located on the iconic rock at the hotel. One of my favorites for dinner. Its romantic vibe, peacefulness and incredible views of the ocean and the coral reef makes it a must try.

L’Isola

-The chic sister of my favorite restaurant in Santa Monica, California’s Via Veneto. L’Isola packs in happy guests for classic Italian dishes, dozens of house-made pasta dishes, prime meats, and a huge, well-chosen wine list. My favorite dishes include a hearty veal chop in a sage-butter sauce and heavenly risotto with either wild mushrooms or wild boar.

Le Ti St Barth

-Owner Carole Gruson captures the island’s funky, sexy spirit in her wildly popular hilltop spot. Best place to dance to great music with the attractive crowd, lounge at a pillow-strewn banquette, or chat on the torch-lighted terrace. By the time your appetizers arrive, you’ll be best friends with the next table. The food is not the best quality of the Le Ti, but if you stick to the classics you will have no problem! Either way by the time you notice someone is sure to be dancing on the tables. Famous for the raucous full-moon parties, cabarets, and getting everyone to dress up with their extensive collection of custumes, it sets the table for the best night out in St Barths!!!

BEACHES

Anse Des Flamands

-Anse des Flamands is St Barth’s most stunning stretch of powder-white sand: quiet and secluded.

Baie De St Jean

-The bay at St Jean is the place to see and be seen, the gentle shelf and reef-protected waters also makes this windward beach amazing. Backed by restaurants and great ambiance make it a must go destination.

Grand Cul De Sac

-Grand Cul de Sac is as still as a plunge pool, and is regularly cited as one of the best beaches in the world.

Grande Saline

-Grande Saline is the beach that the hardcore sun-junkies will want to seek out. It is approached down a leafy corridor that leads to the most flawless bow of coral sand that you could ever hope to encounter. There is no shade, no beach bar – any amenities at all. Just people looking for sun and some more sun.
